Histon Baptist Church supports BMS World Mission which is a Christian mission organisation, working in around 35 countries on four continents.
BMS workers and partners strive every day to make Jesus known and share the full life he brings. From legal work to surgery, food projects to education, BMS works with local partners, providing help where it is most needed, among the most marginalised and least evangelised people in the world.

Quite a few of our members have links with Albania, a small state on the Mediterranean with a strong national identity and a rich history. The Christian presence in Albania is small but growing and includes 'Kisha Liria' - Freedom Baptist Church in Tirana.
Since 2017 Histon Baptist Church have linked with the Freedom Baptist Church to support the pastor Fredi Golloshi and his wife Gjystina. The church meets in a shop unit and Fredi and Gjystina minister to the local community, an area which includes significant poverty and need. As well as financial support we have been able to send groups to visit and enable their children's and youth work to develop. One trip included an Albanian version of John Hardwick's 'Razzamatazz Robots', and another took a large group of HBC teenagers. Seeing God work in Tirana has been valuable for helping us grow in our faith as well as enabling social and spiritual ministries to continue.

Compassion is a leading children’s charity. For 65 years, they’ve been giving children the opportunity to escape the suffering and fear poverty brings. Their mission is to release children from poverty in Jesus’ name.
Working in partnership with local churches in developing countries, they link a child in critical need with a caring sponsor, in churches such as HBC. Each sponsor enables Compassion to provide care for their sponsored child through every stage of their childhood. HBC members currently sponsor around 20 children most of whom live in Uganda.
